1. Wait For Approval

Our Duodenal Switch surgeons will carefully review your health form within 24-48 hours and send an approval notice to your coordinator.

2. Pick A Date

Our coordinator will contact you to choose your surgery date and check the calendar for our surgeon’s availability.

3. Book Your Surgery

Submit your deposit online. A non-refundable $200 deposit or a partially refundable $500 deposit is required.

Which hotel will I be staying at?

You will be staying at Hyatt Place Hotel in Tijuana, Mexico. Your hotel stay is covered in our all-inclusive bariatric surgery packages.

What Payment Methods are Accepted?

Our preferred payment options are Cashier’s Check, Zelle, or Direct Deposit. We also accept Debit/Credit Card, In-person Deposits, Wire Transfers, and Cash.

What financing options are available for weight loss surgery?

Financing options include:

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes you can come with a companion or go alone. The companion fee is $245-$390 for their entire stay at the hotel depending on the surgery procedure. Companions are not allowed to stay at the hospital however, we do have visiting hours so they can come see you.

Do I need a passport? What documents are required?

A current passport is advised for all individuals in your party. If you do not have a passport or your passport is expired, we suggest ordering an expedited passport application/renewal in order to receive your passport prior to your departure to Mexico.

If you do NOT have a passport

If you are crossing the border, you may use one of the following instead of a conventional passport only upon approval from your Patient Coordinator.

Passport ID Card
Enhanced Driver’s License (Currently only the following states that provide these are: Washington, Vermont, Michigan, Minnesota, and New York)
Both a Valid Driver’s License/ID Card AND Original U.S. Birth Certificate (no copies). It is also highly suggested to bring your Social Security card as well as a recent utility/cell phone bill that matches your name and the address shown on your license/ID (in combination with License and original U.S. Birth Certificate)

At Mexico Bariatric Center, a private facility dedicated to bariatric surgery, we offer on-site radiology, endoscopy services, four fully equipped operating rooms, and comfortable post-operative recovery suites.
